Exceptional drinks bar, baroque style, unique, large cocktail bar, 1940’s, for bespoke design – A rare vintage treasure

Discover timeless elegance: If you’re looking for one-of-a-kind then look no further! This French inspired cabinet has been my own personal drinks cabinet for many years. Purchased from a grand London home, this is truly a magnificent and elegant masterpiece (please read re delivery and design) Featuring claw feet and grand detailing, with an exception large interior. Two thick, safety glass shelves are screw mounted offering plenty of storage space. The pull out service tray mirror was broken and the base is currently empty (please see picture) As part of the redesign of the piece, intention is to create a faux marble painted base, together with a resin topping, as replacement of the mirror post build isn’t possible due to the exceptional craftsmanship to get to the base efficiently that can’t be taken apart. The rest of the interior section is stunning, and requires no refurbishment aside of minor polishing (interior work other than stated is not included) DESIGN Importantly, the exterior of the cabinet unfortunately has extensive sun damage from its position in its old home. This has created deep breaks and cracks in the veneer which means this is NOT suitable for a restored finish, as damage is too extensive and far gone. The exterior of the cabinet will require a bespoke customisation to create a one off show-stopper. Perhaps a masters painting decoupage, chinoiserie styling. Creation ideas will be discussed and drawn out (most murals would be inclusive in pricing, some designer wallpaper, fabrics or carat gold leaf would be charged in addition at cost price). Photoshop design mock up images featuring up to 3 designs are provided during our design process. DELIVERY LEAD times are between 6/8 weeks and estimate to now be early 2025 for design (unless materials on order have a delay). Delivery is ground floor only. Due to the weight of this cabinet (takes 3 to lift) delivery to upper or lower floors, or up any stairs (other than a couple at threshold) is not possible. Delivery is UK only sorry and will be by us in person. Condition report: Currently in original vintage condition, the locks requirement refurbishment and will be sent away for restoration. The pale walnut, sycamore has deep cracks throughout the front and sides. The restoration of this piece is therefore not possible due to extensive historic damage. The front and sides will require a bespoke decoupage finish.
