Danish bramin dining table and 6 papercord chairs – A rare vintage treasure

Discover timeless elegance: Bramin Dining table and 6 chairs The quality Danish maker N.A. Jørgensen used the trade name of Bramin and used the architect/designer H.W.Klein for their furniture in the 1960’s . All his lovely pared back designs are recognisable as he used a similar aesthetic throughout his time at Bramin . We bought this lovely set from the original owners who bought it new in 1973 and have recently downsized . As you’ll see it’s a lovely colour , and with the leaf in place it will seat 8 . Although they have always been together the table looks to have been covered most of the time so hasn’t faded as much as the chairs . The legs of the table unscrew so it’s easy to transport and will get through the narrowest of doorways with ease ! Table 135.5cms x 90.5cms without leaf , 195.5cms x 90.5cms with leaf , height 72cms , frieze height 64.5cms Price for Set Condition report: Some of the chairs had damage to the papercord seats after some 50 years of use , so we’ve had them completely re-done to the original design . It’s a time taking job , but well worth it as with care they will last another 50 years before needing to be re-done . The set originally had a varnished finish which was usual in the 1970’s , but as there was some wear we’ve had the set cleaned and given a natural oiled finish which was how pieces were finished in the 1960’s . As with all vintage furniture you must expect to see some minor signs of wear if you look very closely .
